Bollywood star Mouni Roy has shared a disturbing experience she faced during a recent event in Karnal, Haryana, where she says she was harassed by some men in the audience. The actress, known for her roles in popular TV shows like Naagin and films like Brahmastra, took to Instagram to describe what happened and how it made her feel.
What Happened at the Event
According to Mouni’s Instagram post, the trouble began before she even reached the stage. As she walked toward the performing area, several male guests, including older men, touched her waist under the pretext of taking photos. When she asked them to stop, they allegedly ignored her request.
Once on stage, the situation reportedly got worse. Mouni said a couple of men were making lewd gestures, using rude words, and behaving inappropriately while others around them did nothing to intervene. She even tried walking off mid-performance because of the discomfort, but returned soon after to finish her act.
Actress Felt “Humiliated and Traumatised”
In her detailed post, Mouni described the incident as humiliating and deeply upsetting. She said that men continued to take videos of her from low angles even when others asked them to stop. According to her, no event organisers or family members stepped in to help or stop the behaviour.
“I am humiliated, traumatised and want the authorities to take action for this intolerable behaviour,” Mouni wrote, pointing out that artists perform at public gatherings to celebrate and entertain, not to face harassment.

The actress also questioned how such behaviour could be justified and whether these men would act the same way toward their own daughters or sisters. She said she usually does not share negative experiences publicly but felt this incident was too serious to stay silent about.
